Exploring the Joys of AI with Microsoft CoPilot

Today, I’m diving into the joys of AI, and yes, surprisingly, I’m talking about Microsoft CoPilot.

If you’ve been using AI for a while, you’ve probably experienced that unique sense of joy when you’re deeply engaged with it—like having a conversation that helps you think from different angles, clarify your ideas, and feel a sense of exhilaration at the speed with which you can explore topics. Sure, the output often needs tweaking, but it is still helpful.

While most of my classes focus on ChatGPT, I’ve recently been inspired by what Microsoft CoPilot has to offer. I initially tried it earlier, but revisiting it now, the updates make it much more compelling. Many firms already use the Microsoft suite and trust their data there. Beyond the security, privacy, and compliance features that IT providers and lawyers love, CoPilot has introduced something new—CoPilot Studio.

With CoPilot Studio, you can create your own custom CoPilots, much like building custom GPTs. There are templates to get you started, or you can build from scratch. You can add actions like triggering emails or setting up follow-up steps right within CoPilot Studio, without needing third-party tools like Make, Bubble, or Zapier. And, of course, there’s the integration with all your files and data.

If you’re curious and want to learn more, join me for AI Skills for Work on Microsoft CoPilot at 12 pm ET on Thursday, 8/29/24. Here’s the link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85711738819

Lastly, the Simple platform will no longer include its curated tools, which I found valuable for their book recommendations and expertise. If you’re interested in me continuing this tradition independently, outside of Simple, just reply to this email. If there’s enough interest, I’ll keep the custom GPT creation going.

    Best wishes,

    Rose Thun
